Age verification

Are you of legal drinking age?

Wine should be a pleasure.

We believe that wine shouldn't be a problem.

Not in excess.

Not even a trick.

A good wine begins long before the bottle.

It begins in the land, in the climate, in the weather, and in the hands of those who respect each cycle of nature.

REGO was born from this conviction: to create Portuguese wines and products with character, identity and integrity, designed for those who value flavor, origin and well-being.

Interior Border

We work primarily in Beira Interior, one of the highest wine-growing regions in Portugal, with vineyards situated between 600 and 800 meters above sea level.

Here, altitude is not a detail.

It's a condition that shapes everything.

The harsh winters, marked temperature variations, and poor soils create a demanding environment where nature imposes clear limits. These limits translate into natural freshness, slower ripening, and grapes with greater balance.

Nestled between the valleys of the Côa and Águeda rivers, with the Marofa mountain range as a backdrop, this is a land of ancient knowledge and patient work.

Tagus

The Tagus brings another expression to the REGO universe.

A region marked by soil diversity, the influence of the river, and a climate that allows for more expansive, gastronomic, and authentic wines.

Here we find producers who combine tradition and precision, respecting the origin and identity of each wine.

The result is balanced wines with their own character and a different interpretation of the Portuguese territory.

Douro

The Douro is one of Portugal's most emblematic regions and an inescapable reference in wine history.

At REGO, we seek out the Douro that goes beyond the obvious: wines with depth, freshness, and authenticity, produced with respect for the landscape, time, and the hands that work it.

It is a region of immense character, where the strength of the place translates into intense, precise, and identity-filled wines.

Why altitude matters

In higher altitude areas, viticulture becomes more balanced by nature.

The grapes ripen slowly, requiring less correction and treatment, and resulting in a greater expression of their origin. The wine becomes fresher, more aromatic, and easier to drink.

At REGO, we prioritize:

  • high-altitude vineyards
  • old vines
  • Portuguese grape varieties well adapted to the soil
  • responsible practices, close to organic farming

Whenever possible, we avoid herbicides like glyphosate and work with sulfite levels significantly below what is permitted by law.

A more demanding path

At REGO, we chose a more difficult path.

We don't follow trends.

We don't mass-produce.

We don't sacrifice quality for quick profits.

We work with producers who still do things the right way, with respect for the land, for the people, and for those who will drink the beverage.

Because we believe that true luxury is not about excess.

It is purity.

It's about honesty.

It's about feeling good after toasting.

Rediscovering wine

Thousands of people say they "don't like wine".

Most of the time, it's not the wine they dislike — it's the way it's made.

Wines that are excessively chemical, too aggressive, or produced on an industrial scale drive away those who simply wanted to enjoy a good glass.

REGO wines are distinguished by being:

  • more balanced
  • fresher
  • with minimal intervention
  • designed for pleasure and well-being

If you've never found a wine that you truly enjoyed, perhaps now is the time to rediscover wine.

More than just wine

REGO is more than just a selection of wines.

It's a conscious choice.

It's about respecting origins.

This is Portugal at its most authentic.
